Amenities in One
The Como Courtyard is
conveniently yet discreetly located on Main Street, just
a little more than a mile west of Interstate 55. It is
available to only one guest reservation at a time
(accommodating up to seven people) to ensure total
privacy. However, should assistance be needed, the
proprietors live just a few blocks away.
This charming and intimate B &
B is full of surprises. Set in a 125 year-old building, it offers
a romantic ambiance enhanced by a decorative, 18-foot tin ceiling,
exposed bricks, and a décor generously filled with antique
rugs and furnishings. Though surprisingly expansive, it feels quite
cozy, and with each step guests discover another unexpected surprise.
In fact, one could say there are three surprises, because the Como
Courtyard is comprised of three delightful components.

Grand
Entrance
The front portion of the building
includes a large master bedroom with a king-sized bed and private
bath. A long hall connects it to a huge living area with a full-service
kitchen and dining table plus a spacious conversation grouping near
the entertainment center, which includes A Large LG, Wide-Screen TV
complete with Cable, VCR & CD Player. (The living room sofa folds
out into a comfortable, queen-sized bed.) The room's large windows
offer a view of the Courtyard's classic, Southern-style veranda -
an invitation to sip a Mint Julep while reposing lazily in one of
the comfortable rockers.

Inner
Sanctum
To the delight of all
guests, the front living and veranda areas open onto a
beautifully landscaped, interior courtyard (hence, the
name: the Como Courtyard). This open-air sanctuary teems
with lovely aromatic plants, a brick-terraced flooring, a
porch swing, fountain, and tiny nooks that beckon each
guest to curl up with a good book - or cuddle up to that
someone special in the outdoor hot tub.

Victorian
Charm
As if this atrium retreat were not
enough, it leads to the third major amenity: a separate guesthouse!
For larger groups of travelers that cannot comfortably fit into the
main part of the Como Courtyard, a small Victorian cottage offers
an extra bedroom with a queen-sized bed, daybed & trundle and
an ever-popular Jacuzzi!

That
Final Touch
All visitors will
arrive to find the kitchen pantry and refrigerator
pre-stocked. An attractive, complimentary basket is
filled with delicious homemade pastries and fresh fruits.
Beverages are also provided on a complimentary basis.
If you have special
dietary needs or would like to request festive extras
(like wine, champagne, chocolates, etc.), simply notify
the receptionist or proprietor when making your
reservations.
